In this project, students will explore the artist Mondrian and then use his inspiration to create their own work of Mondrian art. Students can either create their own art, as seen here, or use the templates provided. After creating their design, students will use their knowledge of rational numbers to calculate the fraction, decimal, and percent of each color used in their artwork.

This is an extension activity for area, perimeter, and volume. Students must design at least 5 rooms of their choosing. They can include bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, garage, bathrooms, game rooms, media rooms, or any other type of room. 1 rectangle 1 triangle 1 trapezoid 1 combined shape 1 parallelogram You can also have students actually create their home using paper, cardboard, legos, or any other supplies! Great for a review game! This is made to be printed or copied on any color cardstock. Would look great on astrobrights! Includes answer key.
