This activity goes along with the book I Am One: A Book of Action. Read the book aloud. Discuss what actions can be taken to make the world a better place. Then students come up with one action they can take (in the near future) to make the world a better place. Teaching style
I strongly believe in building a classroom community surrounded by hands-on, collaborative, and social learning. Multisensory learning opportunities are one of the most important teaching strategies that I incorporate into my lessons on a daily basis. I believe that students learn so much through their interactions with other students, adults at school, families, etc. I like to incorporate movement, read alouds, and song into my classroom to keep the littles ones engaged!
