I'm an Australian high school teacher with a strong focus on inclusive education and evidence-based pedagogy. My teaching philosophy is grounded in a holistic, student-first approach—placing student wellbeing and individual needs at the centre of all learning. I believe that meaningful learning cannot take place until students feel safe, supported, and connected.
In my classroom, building trust and strong relationships is a priority, even if that means pausing the curriculum to meet a student where they’re at. I incorporate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure access and engagement for all learners, alongside high-impact teaching strategies such as explicit instruction. The resources I create reflect this commitment to equity, engagement, and purposeful learning for diverse classrooms.
