About the store
I have over 30 years of teaching experience (Yikes! How did that happen?). I was fortunate enough to secure my first teaching position right out of college, at the same elementary school that I attended. There I taught both first grade and kindergarten. After a six-year intermission to stay home with my children, I was hired at a local elementary school in my new home-state of New Hampshire, where I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and was a Reading and Writing Specialist. I am recently retired from full time teaching.

This is a fun alternative to the traditional reading log. At the beginning of May, send home the included parent letter of explanation along with, depending on your student’s reading goal, 1, 2 or more copies of the flower outline. This is a fun alternative to the traditional reading log, and can be used for back to school or spring. I include books that are read to them, as well as books that they listen to online. However, you can set the parameters that you want for your classroom. I

Experience

I have over 30 years of teaching experience (Yikes! How did that happen?). Teaching style

I am a visual learner, so I tend to lean towards teaching with a lot of visuals. I am structured, nurturing, and fun...I guess I should add "silly" to the list as well. Afterall, learning should be fun too!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I often received hand-written notes that proclaimed that I am the best teacher ever and the best teacher in the world. :)
