About the store
I started teaching in the 1996-1997 school year at a rural school in east central Ohio. While there, I taught business math, elementary algebra 1 & 2, and geometry. I came to my current school in the 1999-2000, started with calculus, pre-calc, trigonometry and algebra 1. over the years I've changed the math classes I've taught, even threw in a few middle school reading classes along the way. Math is my absolute favorite. I currently teach geometry, integrated 3, and algebra 3. No matter what I've been teaching, I've loved it.

Trigonometry Flash Cards? Nope, not us. We use the Unit Wheel!
Wanted to make flash cards for the exact values of the trig functions and the needed formulas, but once I sat down to get started... it seemed a bit overwhelming. So many different formulas, so many different directions to know the information in. Identifying Quadrilaterals
I've been teaching Geometry for 20+ years and have always found that students try to rely too heavily on visualization to complete geometry tasks.
When teaching students about the family of quadrilaterals it is very easy for them to pick out scale pictures of the quadrilaterals, but when it came time to identify the quadrilaterals from a description, or to know which properties to look at for proving quadrilaterals one thing or another they struggled.
I came up with this as a worksheet first.

Condensed Geometry Notes - Circles
Pretty much everything your geometry students need to know about circles... all on one little informational wheel. My students love having it all in one spot and have actually asked me to do this more often so this is the first one I am sharing on tpt. I have a couple of others, but getting them done digitally takes some time. Check back, I'll try to get a couple more done, but as you all know... spring it is, and it's a busy time of year ;)

Teaching style
I started in the era of lecture and example. I wish I could say that I've got the project performance thing completed nailed, but I don't. I keep trying, but I'm never quite satisfied with my work so I'm always try to improve on it.
Awards & shining teacher moments
None of my honors/awards came with evidence, really. I was asked by the senior class of 2007 to be the graduation speaker, I am facebook friends with a lot of my former students who still ask me for help now and then, Had the privilege of working with some of the best math educators in the country through a local college.
