Allow your students to explore the famed Saki short story "The Interlopers" via Google Classroom. It's a great story - an exciting classic, full of conflict and irony. And now it's accessible to all. This packet includes the original short story, plus adaptations at two more levels, ideal for lower level readers or beginner and intermediate ESL/ENL students. (This would not be suitable for an AP class, but is rather aimed at students who need some help making classic texts accessible.) First, st

Ever wanted a colorful, fun activity for students to do after reading their choice of nonfiction? Here it is. It's designed to be flexible. For example, let a student choose an article on NewsELA or a magazine and then they fill this in on Google Slides, through Google Classroom. A simple, fun assignment for students who are stuck at home. First students look through this gallery of pictures by New York artists, through their windows. They write down their impressions on Google Slides. Next students spend some time looking out of their window. They create their own picture (which they need to attach to the slide). A link is included to Google Canvas, but they can use any app or even draw on paper. Finally they reflect on what they have learned from the process.
