This is a very easy to understand drawing assignment. First students create a collage. Next they pick at least three items from the collage. Using the three items students set up three thumbnail compositions. Students pick the strongest composition & draw using value.

This is a 4 to 5 weeks painting unit. First the students rule & paint 3 value scales. Next they make a cool value name design out of the scales. Finally they paint a composition of their choice using a monochromatic color scheme. I love all three projects.

The process for the High Fives: 1. Notice a student displaying the positive character trait. 2. Fill out the High Five sheet. 3. Give the High Five sheet to office. 4. The office will call the student down and will track everything. 5. Drawings for prizes will be done monthly. Pre-K-6th grade classes will compete for the most High Fives.
