This resource can be used as a companion to or independent from reading Pete the Cat: Valentine's Day is Cool. This printable contains 8 sets of self-correcting, heart shaped puzzle pieces that can be used to reinforce a child's concept of opposites (or antonyms). The opposite sets are: alive/dead, long/short, clean/dirty, night/day, on/off, cold/hot, soft/hard, and full/empty.

In this printable, there are four uppercase and four lowercase mailboxes with the letters: L/l, O/o, V/v, and E/e. Those same upper and lowercase letters are on the back of 32 envelopes (4/letter). Youngsters will need to match the letter to the appropriate mailbox.
