Teaching style

My approach to education is one of creativity and discovery. I believe in using integrated curriculum to tie subjects together and reinforce ideas across the disciplines. Education should be an enjoyable experience in order to promote the excitement and curiosity that will turn students into life-long learners. I use a combination of traditional classroom instruction with discovery-based learning, which is carefully scaffolded to insure success. I view myself as a participant in this discovery process so the students not only learn from me, but we also explore and discover things together. I am always mindful of Common Core Standards, and implement these using the techniques mentioned above, always encouraging students to experience learning instead of being spectators.
