Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow by Siobhan Curham Powerpoint

I developed this for our Year 9 class where we are studying Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow for 12 weeks and completing 2 assessment tasks on it: Creative Writing Response and an Analytical Text Response. There is so little out there on this text, I hope it helps someone else :)

About the store

Experience

I began working fulltime at the age of 20 and have been working ever since with now over 10 years experience all throughout elementary and high school and across a wide variety of subjects including English, Art, Religion, Mathematics, Politics, Literature, EAL and History. I now have my own online tutoring business, with the main focus of English skills including ESL/EAL, History and Religion to students from Year 1 through to Year 12.

Teaching style

I am a believer in Classical Education, although I also think that learning should be... not fun, but enjoyable. Life isn't always fun, there are lots of responsibilities that we have that sometimes just have to be done before the fun but you can always choose to see the positives in life's experiences, and this is the life-skill I believe in teaching my students: it may not be your favourite activity, it may not be always be fun, but you will enjoy the rewards of your efforts so look for that silver lining!

My own education history

For the majority of my education, I was home-educated by a determined and resourceful single parent (who pushed me hard so that I finished school by a couple of years early). For my last year, I left Australia to finish my senior year/Year 12 at a small private school in Virginia USA. I moved back to Australia and graduated both with my Bachelor of Liberal Arts and my Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary - English/Religion) at the young age of 20.

Additional biographical information

Married and mother to one gorgeous son (not biased, I promise!), my transfer of career to an online presence helps me to utilise my time (no more travel time, yay!) to work efficiently in creating and delivering educational material.
