About the store
Hello fellow TPT colleagues, I have taught grades 3, 4, and 5 in Massachusetts for 10 years. Although I loved teaching in a classroom, I recently decided to make a change. I moved to Florida, where I am now self-employed as a homeschool educator and private tutor. I love my job! Teaching is a second career for me, first being a background in art. One of my goals as a teacher is to incorporate art to make creative, engaging activities for my students. I have so many slideshows and activities I have created over the years, I wanted to be able to share them with others. I hope they can make your life as a teacher a little bit easier, as we all know there aren't enough hours in the day to prepare, create, teach and assess. Enjoy.

This fun, hands-on project uses 5th grade math standards, such as using a formula to find volume, as well as solving problems using two non overlapping rectangular prisms by recognizing volume is additive. Students will need graph paper and coloring materials to create their buildings, then work in groups to put them together into districts. This printable packet keeps students on track with step by step instructions from beginning to end.
