This Card sort activity will give students a structure for meaningful math talk. Assigning this activity to a group of two or three allows students to explain their reasoning and assess the reasoning of others. I print the cards out on colored stock paper. Have students cut them out. You may laminate them for subsequent use. I suggest students take turns matching the cards.
