I have taught high school math since 2004. I have taught Geometry, Trignometry, Statistics, AP Statistics, and Algebra II. Prior to teaching, I was a Mechanical Engineer for 7 years.
This packet contains 190 review problems for an Algebra 2 course. Problems are broken up into 3 units. I have included concise notes and several example problems for each topic contained within the packet. In the past, once my students have completed the packet, they have used it as a study guide for their final exam. I have had many positive comments from them in regards to the packet. Units include Algebra Review, Factoring, Rational Expressions, Radicals, Functions, Solving Equations, and Statistics. Over 650 problems have been included along with a complete answer key. This worksheet includes notes and example problems related to permutations and combinations. Permutations and combinations are very similar, so with the help of some pictures, examples, formulas, and example problems, students should know the difference once they are done with this sheet. The worksheet includes a playing card activity, one of my favorite items to use in a statistics classroom.
This item can be used to introduce function families and the characteristics of each. It may also be used as a culminating review activity for students. I have included 2 versions of the notes: a fill-in-the-blank version and a completed version that can be given to students. Characteristics for each family include:
