I have had experience in all areas of Family and Consumer Sciences but mostly in Culinary, Health Sciences/Healthcare, and Nutrition. Experience

Hi Friends! Currently, I am in my 16th year of teaching at the high school level. I have had experience in all areas of Family and Consumer Sciences but mostly in Culinary, Health Sciences/Healthcare, and Nutrition. I also have 10 years of experience teaching elementary summer school courses. I love teaching foods in the summer and working with the younger group!

Teaching style

I like to incorporate a variety of lessons including lectures, projects, lab-based learning, hands-on, independent research, etc. I try to get the students in the culinary kitchen as much as possible!

My own education history

I have a Family and Consumer Sciences teaching degree and a Nutrition minor. Also, I have my Master's in Educational Administration and my principal license. I have completed 3 levels of Prostart trainings as well as 1 level of Baking and Pastry training.

Additional biographical information

Creating fun and interesting lessons for students and getting them interested in their potential future careers is what I love doing the most! When I am not teaching, I am enjoying time with my husband and my sweet little girls! We enjoy all things outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.
