This is a Microsoft PowerPoint that provides some basic vocabulary for students to use when identifying common deciduous trees by their leaves. Uses original photos.

This notes worksheet is a helpful way to develop and support students' abilities to analyze and summarize a text. Students write down the questions and answers found in their text, then there is a section for reflection to add their own thoughts and a quick summary. The last sentence prompts students to share what they learned with a peer. I have students use this worksheet when reading our science textbook.

This is a back to school activity to help get students used to school devices, using Teams assignments, practicing following directions and getting to know their classmates. It usually takes about 60 minutes, spread out in however many intervals you need. All you need to do to prep this assignment is to print the directions and create a Teams Assignment with an attached blank excel spreadsheet set for students to edit their own copy. Easy, low prep and engaging!
