I am a dedicated mathematics educator with 12 years of teaching experience in Alabama. Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of courses, including 8th Grade Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and AP Calculus. I am passionate about helping students build a strong mathematical foundation and succeed at every level.

Teaching style

I enjoy using discovery-based activities and collaborative group work to engage my students. I especially value incorporating movement into my lessons, as I find that students stay more focused and involved when they are active participants in a student-centered classroom.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Auburn University in 2013, followed by a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Montevallo in 2017.

Additional biographical information

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I’ve been married to my husband, Jolen, for eight years, and we have two wonderful children, Landon and Riley. Our family also includes our beloved dog, Macy.
