I love this test because a calculator would be completely useless! 3 versions of a 3 page test from Pre-Calculus (prevent cheating, give retakes) Students are asked to find the EXACT value of sin/cos/tan of angles using different formulas. Simplify and factor trigonometric trinomials Solve trig equations for exact general solutions. Create their own trig identity (but there's a catch... it has to simplify to a word)

The Mathsmith Entire test is Short Answer / Free Response 4 versions (prevents cheating and different versions can be used as retakes) Each test is 2 pages and of equal difficulty. Sequences on 1st page, Series on 2nd page There is some overlap in questions however the majority are unique to that particular version Points add up to 20 making it easy to calculate students percentage grade without a calculator. Students are asked to determine if a sequence is arithmetic, geometric or neither; det

The Mathsmith Notes Sinusoidal Transformations This is probably the best thing I've created, my students love it and it really helps organize all of the information!! I have a personal preference for the chart however a few students liked the web more (its all the same information). *I refer to -sin(x) as a VERTICAL reflection across the x-axis. I know that currently this is considered a horizontal reflection but I'm working on a paper to make an argument for why this shouldn't be. In the art

Not editable at this price but for $1 more you'll get both of these features. Students explore problems related to: pulling ribbons out of a bag at random, independent vs dependent events, choosing students taking AP Calc/AP Physics/neither, Looking at three unique groups of athletes responses to a survey. Probability based on area. *I threw a little geo

The Mathsmith Each problem is connected to at least one of the previous problems and ultimately tell the story of a love affair between the characters of "Romeo & Juliet" vs "Rapunzel". Most of the answers are "pretty" (clean whole numbers, this is a norm in my classroom and I make an effort to do this so that students feel more confident about their final answer and if its not a whole number then maybe they did something wrong)

The Mathsmith Instead of telling/lecturing/giving students the rule of log(x) + log(y) = log(xy) This activity guides students through the discovery of this important rule on their own, all they need is a calculator (or slide rule). Difference Quotient rule and Power Rule are also discovered through this simple yet amazing assignent
