Teaching style
My teaching style is inclusive yet challenging. I seek to make all of my library lessons fun and engaging for my students to grow their love of literacy. Translanguaging is an important part of my teaching style at my bilingual school. It is my goal to not only help the Spanish speakers improve their English but to center and celebrate the Spanish language among my school community.

In 2025, I earned a grant for $2,000 to start a Family Book Club for my elementary school.
My own education history
Before coming to the education world, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in English Literature and Spanish. In 2024, I earned my Masters of Library and Information Science as well as my teaching license.

I am a mom of one human child and three fur babies! Besides reading, we love to explore our city's vibrant cultural diversity, make up silly stories and poems on our typewriter, thrift, create, and eat lots of ice cream.
