Scale Factor, Area and Volume Relationship
When I first started teaching scale factor to 7th graders, I wanted to pull my hair out because I really couldn't find this skill in our textbooks. This year I decided I was going to just create my own. This lesson has 66 slides and can be taught over a week. You could generate some homework worksheets from the slides. It explains this hard concept in grave detail. If you want to print and teach, this is your product. I used it in my own class; so, it is classroom approved.

Teaching style
I would say that I truly care if students enjoy my class. I do group work, partner work, peer tutoring, online activities, foldables, and plenty of dry erase practice. My lessons are mostly powerpoints that I have worked on and perfected over the years. My lessons are designed to be user friendly and kids love my class.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I'm more of a "behind the scenes type person." I don't need awards to prove that I am a good teacher. I would rather share every lesson I have and no recognition.

I am an Honors Graduate of Emory and Henry College, in Emory, Virginia.
Additional biographical information
I've always wanted to be a math teacher. I had a ninth grade math teacher that changed my life and made me care about school. Since 9th grade, I wanted to provide students with the same experience I had with a great teacher.
