I have been teaching math for 10 years. Throughout those 10 years, I have taught 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade, and Algebra 1. 8th grade and Algebra 1 are my specialties. I love teaching math and have maintained great test scores.

This is updated with the most current types of questions on the 7th grade TCAPs. This lesson is more than just clicking answers off the powerpoint. I have made countless animations that make the word problems come alive for students. What I do is, erase all answers and make a notes packet for my students. You can trust that this is a class approved lesson.

Teaching style

I would say that I truly care if students enjoy my class. I do group work, partner work, peer tutoring, online activities, foldables, and plenty of dry erase practice. My lessons are mostly powerpoints that I have worked on and perfected over the years. My lessons are designed to be user friendly and kids love my class.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I'm more of a "behind the scenes type person." I don't need awards to prove that I am a good teacher. I would rather share every lesson I have and no recognition.

I am an Honors Graduate of Emory and Henry College, in Emory, Virginia.

Additional biographical information

I've always wanted to be a math teacher. I had a ninth grade math teacher that changed my life and made me care about school. Since 9th grade, I wanted to provide students with the same experience I had with a great teacher.
