Albert Einstein once said that "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think." I believe that my students may not ever have to identify the minerals in an igneous rock again, but I know they will have plenty of life problems to solve, That's why I created and proudly display this poster in my room.
The poster measures 8.5" X 44" and can be printed on 4 regular sheets of paper. I laminated mine before putting it across the top of my bulletin board.

FUN whole class activity!
Being able to make observations and then inferences based on those observations is a very valuable skills to have in the science classroom, other subjects, and in life. This activity is a great way to introduce these skills or to reinforce them. The activity is led by the teacher from a SmartBoard or projector and can be easily completed in one class period.
The file is designed so that the teacher simply clicks through the slides and the students follow along.
