I have been a school-based speech and language therapist since 2018. I have experience working with children and students age 0 to 14. Throughout my clinical experience and at my current school, I've gained experience working with children who have articulation disorders, language delay/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, neurological diagnoses, chromosomal abnormalities, and students who benefited from AAC (high tech and low tech).

Experience

I have been a school-based speech and language therapist since 2018. I have experience working with children and students age 0 to 14. Throughout my clinical experience and at my current school, I've gained experience working with children who have articulation disorders, language delay/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, neurological diagnoses, chromosomal abnormalities, and students who benefited from AAC (high tech and low tech).

Teaching style

I am a firm believer in taking evidence based practice and turning it into engaging, meaningful, and functional activities for my students. My priority is to build fundamental language skills that will allow my students to access and succeed in the world around them.

My own education history

I received my bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. I then went on the receive my Master's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
