This anchor defines and gives examples/graphics for the four types of sentences: declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, imperative. The graphics are a great jumping off point for teaching students hand motions as they learn each type for whole brain learning. The image can be shared digitally, as an anchor chart poster, or smaller as mini-anchors for students to glue as references into their writing notebooks.

This anchor chart can be kept in your students' author folders/writing workshop notebooks as a resource you'll add to all year long.
