A two pack of worksheets to get at the big ideas of equality with addition and subtraction facts. Shows equations such as 7 = 4 + 3 and 6 + 8 = 7 + 7. Students have to identify which equations are true and which are false. This is a great way to see if your students are using the equals sign in a relational way not just as a signal that the answer is coming. Meets Common Core standard 1.OA.D.7. Also works well with second and third graders who are working on addition and subtraction facts

This set of problems has provided me with a fun and engaging way to get my first and second graders the extra practice they need with solving problems. In this set of 12 problems, you will see a wide range of difficulty. I feel that most programs provide plenty of practice with addition number stories so I have limited the number of those found in this set. What you will find is tons of practice with different “subtraction” problems. Ones that ask questions such as how many more or how many
