Negative and Fractional Exponents of Death!

Students get confused when confronted with negative and rational exponents. At a bare minimum, they associate negative exponents with fractions and rational exponents have fractions. In this activity, students are forced to consider various permutations of negative signs, negative exponents and rational exponents all together.
