Thinking in Third Grade

Tacky the Penguins books are always a fun read for young students! This activity can be added to your math centers easily. This product has 8 addition/subtraction story problems. Students will cut out the igloos and penguins. Then, they will match each penguin to the correct igloo. There is an answer key provided for kids to check their own work.

Students will practice their multiplication story problems by reading Christmas themed problems. There are 12 problems. Students may use repeated addition, or use their multiplication skills to answer each problem. There is a template for students to show their work on as they complete each story problem.

In this document, students will review multiplication by finding three turkeys that mean the same by matching them by finding the multiplication sentence, repeated addition sentence, and the product.
