This is great for morning work when the students walk in the door on the first day of school! As they enter the room, have a small tub of Playdoh on each student's desk. Prior to our Spring open house, I like to have my students create ADJECTIVE self portraits. Their parents come in and FIND their desks by looking for their drawing. They draw their self portrait on any paper that I have on hand. I like to use the larger sized oak tag, because it is sturdy! Then, I have them come up with 6-10 adjectives that they would use to describe themselves. I use these recording sheets for them to come up with their adjectives, so that I can check the spelling.
