This is a resource I use for my students in their Interactive Notebooks. It provides a reference for the entire year! I hope that it suits your classroom as much as it does mine!

My students have a grammar notebook that we use as a resource all year long. I created this adjective mini-anchor chart to add into there, because I couldn't find another one that I loved. This has been so helpful to my students to remind them of adjectives! I hope it works well for your class, too!

This is great for morning work when the students walk in the door on the first day of school! As they enter the room, have a small tub of Playdoh on each student's desk. Let them know that they can create anything they would like with that Playdoh. It's a great way to help relieve the stress of the first day and help them feel comfortable! After giving them time to make a creation from their Playdoh, have them write a story about their creation. I give them very little instruction besides
