My students have a grammar notebook that we use as a resource all year long. I created this adjective mini-anchor chart to add into there, because I couldn't find another one that I loved. This is great for morning work when the students walk in the door on the first day of school! As they enter the room, have a small tub of Playdoh on each student's desk. Let them know that they can create anything they would like with that Playdoh. It's a great way to help relieve the stress of the first day and help them feel comfortable! After giving them time to make a creation from their Playdoh, have them write a story about their creation. I give them very little instruction besides
