They use an expo marker and magic eraser to work with the number for that day. This could also be used in a variety of ways.

I use the large poster on my writing bulletin board and also project it on my Smartboard while we are editing our writing. Students have a copy of the smaller checklists to use as they edit and also glued into their folder for quick access.
