Chocolate Chip Fossil Dig Your students will become paleontologists with this resource. Use this worksheet to guide students in extracting fossils (chocolate chips) from hard dirt/soil (cookie). Recommended tools: toothpick for digging and q-tip for dusting!

My students periodically complete a reading check using their AR books. Information includes book title, author, fiction/nonfiction, AR level, summary, and reason for selecting the book. Although I use this for AR, it can be used for any independent reading! Enjoy!
