Journeys Unit 1 Vocabulary After introducing key vocabulary, students will match each vocabulary word with the correct definition and illustrate the word. Stories Included: "A Fine, Fine School" "The Trial of Cardigan Jones" "Destiny's Gift" "Pop's Bridge" "Roberto Clemente: Pride of the Pittsburgh Pirates" Helpful hint: print definition page on colored paper; one set of definitions per student.

My students periodically complete a reading check using their AR books. Information includes book title, author, fiction/nonfiction, AR level, summary, and reason for selecting the book. Although I use this for AR, it can be used for any independent reading! Enjoy!
