Third Grade Thinkers

This is to use when your students are reading with a buddy. You print this out on colored card stock, laminate it, then cut it out into the shape of a check mark. The students take this with them while reading together. One student is the "reader" and the other one is the "checker". You give the kids a certain amount of time at each "station" and they work together to come up with words that show the passage is written in first or third person. This game has students determine whether specific connections are "good" or "bad". They are given cards to flip over and are to read and categorize them in stacks of "good" connections or "bad" connections. After all of the cards are sorted, the students pick 2 bad connections and rewrite them into good connections using a handout that goes with the game.

This is a fun math game where students match up Easter eggs with cards of money. The Easter eggs have an amount of money on them and students have to match up that card with the card that has the correct amount of money on it.
