Introduction to Fractions Power Point
This is a 15 page power point to introduce students to fraction vocabulary, comparing and ordering fractions with like numerators and denominators using video clips, images, pizza, etc. to review to prep students for fraction skills. Also includes links to interactive games for students to find online.

Equivalent Fraction Bar Graph
Has various fractions equal to several fractions with one as the numerator. For each fraction, students fill in a blank on the bar graph. Will have students skip counting, multiplying, or dividing to find each equivalent then representing their data in a graph.

About the store
Experience
This is my 16th year teaching. I teach in a low income Title 1 school and normally have between 18-28 kids. I teach all subject areas.
Teaching style
Structured environment with little down time, students are actively engaged and busy most of the day and have some assignments that need to be finished within a set limit while they also have to learn to set limits and focus on work that is due weekly. Ability based grouping and differentiated instruction takes up most of my small group stations while I also teach whole group math and reading for common core based standards.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have been named Teacher of the Year in my district for three separate awards and am Nationally Board certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist for grades 2-6. I have been named to the Who's Who Among American teachers 3 times and have been a mentor to new teachers now four times and a cooperating teacher for a student teacher three times.
My own education history
I have both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Elementary Education and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
