This is a fun winter craft for students who are learning to model regrouping for addition. This particular activity is set up to go with Go Math Grade 2, Chapter 4 Lesson 4 (4.4). The students write an addition sentence on the left mitten and then model regrouping by drawing the tens and ones for each number on the right mitten. The students can then cut them out and design them. I also punched a whole in the base of each mitten so that string could be attached!

This is a great resource to see what your students know about wants, needs, goods, and services! They choose two of each, explain, and describe how each is provided. I personally use this as a summative assessment for the unit! We use them as templates to create books!
