Students will study the Novel by JK Rowling while immersing themselves in a motivating game that will help with classroom behavior management. There are a variety of activities from reading comprehension to writing activities that will address CCSS standards.

Using the book Beautiful OOPs by Barney Saltzberg, students will create a symmetrical paint splotch project and write about the oops they created. This is also a lesson in Symmetry.

Classroom timers help students to monitor how much time is left to complete a task and it helps the teacher so you don't have to be a clock watcher. Each of the files are separate timers that will help keep everyone on task.

Students use Problem Solving man to break down math word problems to help understand what is being asked in the question. This helps to have a better understanding of what to look for in a question.

Reading is a very important skill, but you can also make it a fun event. Students love to get comfortable and have a day of just reading. The zip file contains letters that can be edited so you can host a read a thon in your classroom.

A compiled book for teachers to edit to hand out to parents during the first few days of school. This helps to answer questions about classroom procedures and information they can refer to as the year progresses.

Create a periodic table of elements chart and fill the chart with items that can be found in your home. This gives the students the appreciation of how chemistry and the elements affect their lives.

After a taste test of Hershey Kisses, write an opinion essay about your favorite type of Hershey Kiss.

Warm up with a good book. Students will use the mug pattern to write about their favorite book. It makes a great display and a way to have students write about great literature.

Show students how everyone has special abilities. This teaches tolerance of differences and shows them that everyone is special. Students will think about their own abilities and write a letter of thanks.

Students will use a given number to work on Common Core math skills to increase their knowledge of number sense. There are 40 pages of numbers with a sample for the students to do. I use them with the students on a weekly basis to increase their number fluency while working on Common Core math Skills.
