I have taught for 10 years in two different schools. As an early adopter of technology, I am always looking for cool new ways to practice math and reading. I have taught 6-8th grade math and Algebra I as well as Reading Intervention and ELA for 7th and 8th grade.

Dividing Fraction match up
This is a matching activity to practice dividing fractions by fractions. The first column has whole number quotients, the second column has fractional quotients so you can differentiate by assigning one or both columns. A second slide is included for students to show their work.

Evaluating Exponents Maze
This maze allows students to practice evaluating exponential expressions with an element of self-checking as students must end at the "End" square. It is great for center work, homework, or independent practice.

Teaching style
I love a good inquiry lesson but understand the importance of practice to commit to memory. I am always looking for new ways to bring in student interest. I believe the best teachers are flexible and we shouldn't be using the same tasks year after year. We need to be malleable!
