About the store
I love the middle grades because providing the right support in middle school is critical for a child's emotional and academic development. Middle school teachers have a huge chance to impact a child's live in a positive way, so that is where I've focused my teaching years. I've spend 3 years teaching 7th grade math, 4 years teaching 8th grade math and 3 years teaching students with special needs. I've done lots of work across the grades and done lots of planning across grades levels. I also have spent some time developing and implementing Common Core curriculum and learning resources.

Square and Cube Root Memory Cards Bundle
Students will memorize square and cube roots by playing this fun memory game. Game includes cards for perfect squares 1-15 and perfect cubes 1-10. Teach perfect squares and use the first set of cards, then perfect cubes and use the second set of cards. As a unit review, combine all cards for a jumbo game of memory!

This is a holistic math scoring rubric. It is very open ended and can be applied to nearly any math activity or grade level. It includes descriptions of general concepts and errors that may occur and percentage correlations. It also includes space for teacher comments.

Middle School Common Core Math Pacing Guide - 7th Grade
This is a fully common core aligned math pacing guide for 7th grade. It included an unwrapped version of each standard and organizes all 7th grade common core standards for math into units to be completed over the course of the school year. I used it last year and it was a great help for pacing and for understanding the expectations of the Common Core!

Poster Project Rubric
This rubric is great to use for general poster projects. There is a section of the rubric that addresses quality of the poster and a section that addresses quality of the presentation. This rubric can be applied for group work or individual work. The rubric uses student friendly and mathematical language. If you are not a math teacher, the document is fully editable to incorporate topic-appropriate language.

Tax and Tip Activity
Students studying percents will have fun planning out meals for friends and family in this activity. The activity includes a fictional menu from "Burger Shack" and asks students to calculate tax and tip for a variety of orders off them menu. Students are then asked to plan a meal for friends and family, including tax and tip.

Solvable or Not? Equation Sorting Activity, RTI / 3 Tiers
This is a fun sorting activity to help students differentiate equations that can be solved from those that can't. There are three levels to this activity. Level 1 being the most challenging and includes multi-step equations, application of the distributive property, and multiple like terms. Unit Rate Memory Game - 3 Levels / Tiers, RTI
Help students learn unit rate with this tiered memory game activity. Each unit rate represents something you would find in a supermarket (example: 12 ounces of peanut butter for $2.40). Students cut out the memory cards and match up each situation with the appropriate unit rate. There are three sets of memory cards for 3 tiered levels of instruction. Each set includes a total of 18 memory cards.

Fraction War Card Game for Elementary / Middle School
Help students learn how about fractions with different denominators while having fun! This game of fraction war includes 42 cards with fractions with denominators ranging from 2-10 and a variety of numerators (there are no improper fractions, but there are some fractions equal to 1). The rules are the same as regular war - the person who puts down the card with the higher value keeps the pair. There are some cards with equivalent fractions to ensure that your students will have a few "wars."

Help students learn about integers and absolute values with a game of Integer War! The rules are the same as regular war: the student who places down the highest card wins. Square Root Memory Cards 1-15
Help students memorize perfect squares in a fun way with my square root memory cards. There are 30 cards in total - the numbers 1 through 15 and the perfect squares 1 through 225. Students in my class have enjoyed playing this game for the last few years, and it has helped tremendously with memorization of perfect squares.
