An 8 question quiz on rates. Students have to know how to simplify ratios, find the unit rate and solve word problems on the topic. The entire test was worth 10 points. I made problems 1-6 are worth 1 point and problems 7-8 worth 2 points. An 8 question quiz on percents! I have a reminder at the top of the test for students to remember what the words “of” and “is” mean in math. I allow them to use either decimals or fractions in your math - whichever you prefer! I also make my students estimate their answers! (A lot of times students will do a problem completely wrong and because they lack the conceptual understanding or number sense, they don't notice that their answer is completely wrong or not possible!)
