Break down the basics behind the chromatic scale! Pick a key, and fill out this user-friendly worksheet. Label the letter names on the fingering charts for further clarity. Must-have for advancing string players!
Help your students understand the "formula" for building major keys! Students use solfege in order to identify the half and whole step pattern, write letter names, and determine what pitches need to be "altered" with sharps or flats. From there, students identify how many sharps or flats are in the key, and then write out the key signature. Students get a deeper understanding of how and why a key signature exists for each key!
Instrumental music teachers! Students miss lessons for a variety of reasons, and sometimes it isn't easy to make them up in person. This Make Up Lesson form has been a game changer for my middle and high school musicians! My students can do this once per marking period, if necessary. It keeps them accountable and up to date on their material, and is particularly useful during testing season and flu season!
