This product contains instructions and research links for students to write a journal from the perspective of a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. They describe life on the expedition, report on plants and animals discovered, and write a short biography about Sacajawea. This product also contains a grading rubric for the journals. It is a great project to include US History, creative writing, and science.
This activity prompts students to apply what they have learned about context clues to create context clues for a challenging word or vocabulary word. Classmate will then "solve" each other's clues. Included in this file are: instructions, context clues creation workpage, context clues sentence cards, recording sheet, and rubric. I have also included a list of "mystery" words, though this product could be used with any vocabulary list.

In this active geography game, one student is "on the spot" while the others are actors. Print the slides 6 to a page and laminate - these are the activity/location cards. The "on the spot" has to find the location on a world map while the reast of the students act out the activity charades-style. Once the location is found, another student is called to be "on the spot" for a new activty/location card. Perfect for an energetic class!
