This product contains instructions and research links for students to write a journal from the perspective of a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. They describe life on the expedition, report on plants and animals discovered, and write a short biography about Sacajawea. This product also contains a grading rubric for the journals. It is a great project to include US History, creative writing, and science.
This activity prompts students to apply what they have learned about context clues to create context clues for a challenging word or vocabulary word. Classmate will then "solve" each other's clues.
