ACTS Prayers for Kids (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson teaches the ACTS model for praying (Adoration – Confession – Thanksgiving – Supplication), but since kids won’t likely recognize these terms, this lesson uses more familiar language: I love you! – I’m sorry! – Thank you! – Please!

Works Test (GAME)

This game helps children to understand that not all good works have the same value in God’s eyes. Good things done with bad or selfish motives are not worth nearly as much as those done for the right reasons. The game teaches about Paul’s writing about the believers’ judgment (aka “the Bema Judgment”), where our works will be tested.

The Roman Road (LESSON)

Within the book of Romans, the author has given us a path toward salvation. Some call it the Roman Road. This lesson helps kids to memorize the Scriptures of the Roman Road so that they can share it with their friends. This lesson comes with a full script that you can modify to suit your needs, flashcards to aid memorization and a special dice pattern to make learning Scriptures fun!

Straw-tato (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson helps children and youth to see that the “impossible” is not always as impossible as it seems. Before the end of the lesson, they will get an opportunity to put a straw all the way through a potato! The lesson includes some “kitchen science” and a spiritual application.

Egg, Salt and Water Trick (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson teaches that it isn’t enough to just be Christian in this world. We need to have “saltiness” so that we help to make life better, heal those who are hurting and save those who are lost. This lesson uses a science experiment in which you can make an egg float by adding salt to water. The salt increases the density of the water, making the egg more buoyant.

Center of God's Will (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson teaches that the safest place for us is in the center of God’s will. Individuals or groups will create a board (representing God’s will) with rope handles and then attempt to spin it in a circle with a cup of water on it. If they do it correctly, centrifugal force will keep the water in the cup. The metaphor is that when everything is “spinning” around us, the center of God’s will is the best place to keep us from being “upset.”

Connect the D.O.T.S (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson teaches about how God’s plan for us can be difficult to see at times. Even so, we should do our best to follow the path He has set out for us. A volunteer will work on completing a dot-to-dot puzzle while you talk about the challenges of discerning God’s plan for our lives. The puzzle has some intentional problems that serve as metaphors for these challenges. With your help, the volunteer will be able to solve the puzzle, revealing the big picture of God’s will. In this c

Filled with the Spirit (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson teaches that you need the Holy Spirit to minister effectively to others. If you don't spend time with God each day to get filled with His Spirit, you will eventually run dry and have nothing left to offer anyone else. The lesson involves repeatedly filling a Styrofoam cup with water and then piercing the cup to let the water drain out. The cup represents us. The water represents Living Water, i.e., the Holy Spirit. And the holes in the cup represent sin in our lives that a

No More Than We Can Bear (OBJECT LESSON)

This object lesson helps children understand that God will help them get through difficult times and situations. He never allows us to go through more than we can bear, and He never leaves us alone. The lesson uses a little science. You will put a skewer through a balloon without popping it, because the strands of polymer in the rubber will stretch around the skewer to make a seal. The lesson is simple enough for even grade school children to do it themselves successfully with a little guida
