Circuit Training - Equations of Lines

Created by
UltraMathRunner
Students will work on 12 problems writing the equations of lines. Types included: Given two pointsGiven the slope and the y-interceptGiven the slope and a pointVertical and horizontal You choose if you want the students to give their answers in slope-intercept form or standard form. The answers include both forms of the equations. The first 2 pages contain the 26 problems, the last 2 pages contain worked out solutions that complete the circuit. Worked out solutions are provided in this circui

Students will work on 12 Solving Absolute Value Equation problems. These do involve solving multi-step equations. One problem results in no solution. The first 2 pages contain the 26 problems, the last 2 pages contain worked out solutions that complete the circuit. Worked out solutions are provided in this circuit to make lesson planning easier for you. To complete the circuit, they will have to complete all of the problems. They will get to "self-check" by the time they finish, because each

Students will work on 12 problems involving factoring out the GCF (Greatest Common Factor) of a polynomial. There is one problem that requires students to factor out a negative value. To complete the circuit, they will have to complete all of the problems. They will get to "self-check" by the time they finish, because each answer is attached to the subsequent problem they work on. You can use this as review, as a game (see who can finish the circuit the fastest!) or even as an assessment. Dir

Students will work on 26 problems using the Laws of Exponents (multiplying, dividing, and power to a power). Negative exponents are included in this circuit. To complete the circuit, they will have to complete all of the problems. They will get to "self-check" by the time they finish, because each answer is attached to the subsequent problem they work on. You can use this as review, as a game (see who can finish the circuit the fastest!) or even as an assessment. Directions: Begin in Cell #1

Students will work on simplifying 12 algebraic expression involving the distributive property. The expressions involved signed numbers, so students will practice working with operations of signed numbers and combining like terms. To complete the circuit, they will have to complete all of the problems. They will get to "self-check" by the time they finish, because each answer is attached to the subsequent problem they work on. You can use this as review, as a game (see who can finish the circuit

Students will work on solving 18 problems involving absolute value equations and inequalities. None of the problems require the use of a calculator; exact answers only are given (no decimals). Answers are given using inequality notation (as opposed to interval notation). To complete the circuit, they will have to complete all of the problems. They will get to "self-check" by the time they finish, because each answer is attached to the subsequent problem they work on. You can use this as revie

XY-Graph Paper Masters

Over the years, I have created a collection of different sizes of graph paper grids for students to use when working on their homework. Most have lines or space to work next to the grids, which can easily be used to create a table of values. Some have axes, some don't. I even included a number line graph. Students tend to produce much nicer, neater work for me when I am able to give them something like this to use. I generally print a whole bunch of them on recycled "scratch" paper that I c

Additional biographical information

After seeing how so many of us have had to change, adjust, revise and sometimes completely revamp our whole teaching style, I have decided that on March 19th (my birthday), I am going to offer up everything in my store to either be $1 or $2 (unless it's in a bundle form). There is no reason why whatever content I have created, no matter how long it took me (because I use it myself anyways) should cost teachers more than that. These prices are a PERMANENT change. Please come back often to see what else I have. Or feel free to drop me a line if you have a topic you'd like me to consider in my next item. -UltraMathRunner 3/20/21
