Poems for two voices can be written by two students jointly! I like to use the book, "Joyful Noise: Poems For Two Voices" and read the class several poems in two voices before they have a chance to write their own! This handout or graphic organizer is great for when they are ready to write!

Teaching style
I've worked with students with learning disabilities for my entire career and helped them access the general education curriculum in all subject areas: reading, writing, social studies, and math. I differentiate Engage and Eureka math curriculum by providing concrete tools or altering problem sets/hws. I also have a special interest in social emotional learning. I always try to be sensitive to what my students are feeling and how I speak to them, for example, giving compliments on their work before giving feedback.
