Transform your classroom into a top-secret spy mission with this digital breakout activity focused on solving proportions! Students become secret agents, working through a series of math problems to unlock codes and complete their mission—all while practicing essential proportional reasoning skills. This engaging, self-checking activity is perfect for reviewing or reinforcing proportions in a fun and interactive way. Students solve problems that range from basic to more challenging, entering the
Help your students master angles of elevation and depression with this engaging interactive Google Slides activity! Designed for visual learners, this digital math resource allows students to drag and drop objects to model real-world angle scenarios, making abstract concepts easier to understand and apply. Students will: ✅ Practice identifying angles of elevation and depression ✅ Drag and position objects to create accurate diagrams ✅ Solve word problems by finding missing angle measures and
Looking for a fun and engaging way to review systems of equations? This self-checking card sort activity is a low-prep, high-impact tool for reinforcing student understanding! Students will solve a series of systems of equations, starting with the card marked with an asterisk (*). Each solution leads them to the next card in the loop, challenging them to think critically while staying engaged. The activity ends when they circle back to the original card—making it a perfect self-checking resourc
This activity allows students to become spies while completing math problems. This digital breakout activity contains practice problems in which students solve volume problems. Pass out a copy of the handout with the problems (or send to students digitally) and students enter the various codes into the digital Google Form to check answers. My students love this activity and is a great way to allow them to self-check their answers.

Display the number grid on your SmartBoard. Split the students into groups or allow them to work individually. Pass out a copy of the problems to all students. Each time a group/student completes a problem they must check the answer. If they got the answer correct, they get to put their initials (or group name or number) on a number (or multiple numbers) on the board. They then move on to the next problem. At the end of the activity a number is drawn at random and whoever has their initials (or
My students loved this game! Split students into a few teams. Give them the first sheet and have them all start solving the equations at the same time. They have to add all four answers together and write that number in the middle circle. They then race to the teacher to check that magic number. If they number is incorrect, they must go back to their team and determine their mistake(s). The first team to get the correct magic number wins that round. I have also awarded multiple points so each te
Students can work individually or in groups to graph various absolute value equations and compare that graph to the parent absolute value function. They use those comparisons to determine the relationships between the parent equation and the various ways to transform that equation.
This reference sheet is a great way to allow students to understand the multiple ways to find slope.

Teaching style
My teaching style consists of a "little bit of everything". I love to pull various resources of different styles.
I use some "old school" techniques like good old fashion paper and pencil notes.
I also like to take paper activities and make them digital. That is has really been my passion lately!
