Experience

I have taught high school mathematics through college level mathematics and statistics over the last 16 years. Subjects I have taught include algebra I, algebra II, geometry, precalculus and trigonometry (high school and college), calculus (high school and college), AP calculus, introductory statistics (high school and college), AP statistics, and calculus-based statistics for engineers.

Teaching style

I run a very interactive classroom, even when teaching large classes in a university lecture hall. I try to address all learning styles, but I have found that visual aides work best particularly for statistics lectures. I love using hands-on activities as much as possible and have several computer activities for those classes that I have access to a computer lab. When teaching statistics, I feel it is important to introduce students to software commonly used in business and industry.
