Maths Centre Game:Roll a lady beetle- Addition to 15 (Kindergarten/1st Grade)
This is a fun game to develop and promote early arithmetical strategies, such as addition with concrete materials and number sense. It is a great activity to have in a maths center.
The game can be played in small groups or pairs. Each child has a lady beetle game board. Children take turns rolling a die, on their turn they place the same number of counters on the game board. The winner is the first person to have 15 counters. The exact number has to be rolled to win.
