About the store
I have taught at the high school level for 9 years now. I have experience teaching a variety of sciences, including: Forensic science, Anatomy and Physiology, Physical and Earth Science, Physics and Engineering, Earth and Space, Biology, and Physical Science. In addition to teaching at the high school level I was also a tutor for 2.5 years. In that time I taught both ACT and SAT prep courses, general homework help. In addition to these programs I was also leading literacy, math, and science programs at varying academic levels. I also helped pilot a preschool program that taught phonics and early reading skills for children before entering pre school. For the last 2 years I have also been one of the key writers of curriculum for a school district that is piloting Competency Based Education.

Graphing and Analyzing Data Bundle

This is a graphing and analyzing data bundle. This bundle currently contains 9 assignments through google docs and google slides that students are given data tables. They are sometimes expected to finish the data table and then format that data into a graph. Once the graphs are complete there are several analysis questions that follow. It's great practice for my students to reinforce data formatting, drawing conclusions, and supporting their claims with evidence. This is a Growing Bundle! There a

Graphing and Analyzing Oxygen Production Data (Photosynthesis from Elodea)

This is a graphing assignment that gives students the opportunity to graph a data table oxygen bubbles produced by elodea. Students are given a data table of three trials of counting oxygen bubbles produced by elodea at different heights of a lamp. I typically use this assignment to supplement photosynthesis (a in person lab). There are 4 analysis questions that follow the graphing. It can be done in person with graph paper, as well as distant learning, it is a google doc. A link is also prov

Graphing and Analyzing Cell Growth Data (Cancer Cells v Normal Cells)

This is a graphing assignment that gives students the opportunity to graph a data table of epithelial cell growth. Students are given a data table of cell growth rate of a sample taken from a mass, and cells not from a mass. I typically use this assignment to go teach diseases in cell division (cancer). There are 4 analysis questions that follow the graphing. It can be done in person with graph paper, as well as distant learning, it is a google doc. A link is also provided with instructions on

Graphing and Analyzing Milk Production Data (Homeostasis)

This is a graphing assignment that gives students the opportunity to graph a data table of an study done to measure the amount of milk production when the frequency of pumping is increased. Students are given a data table of three trials of 2 women who used a breast pump to express milk at different time intervals. I typically use this assignment to supplement lessons on homeostasis of the human body. There are 5 analysis questions that follow the graphing. It can be done in person with graph

Graphing and Analyzing Data: Soap and Cell Membranes

This is a graphing assignment that gives students the opportunity to graph a data table of an study done on the effectiveness of a new soap based disinfectant. Students review over data collected by counting the number of different types of bacteria colonies . Students are to complete the table by calculating the average colonies counted in the study. Then, they are to compile the average data into a line graph, and analyze the data. There are 4 analysis questions that follow the graphing. It c

Graphing and Analyzing Mitosis Phases Data

This is a graphing assignment that gives students the opportunity to graph a data table of an study done on whitefish embryo mitosis phases. Students review over data collected by counting the number of cells in interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, & telophase. Students are to complete the table by calculating the percentage of phases out of 200 cells counted total. Then, they are to compile the percentage data into a bar graph, and analyze the data. Teaching style

Learning through discovery is the name of the game when it comes to using scientific practices. I use the NGSS practices to format my materials. The last two years I have used student led inquiry and interdisciplinary styles. I have also been trained using Kagan structures within the classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was nominated NHSS teacher of the year 2024.

My own education history

I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a degree in Science Education with a Biology Concentration. With this degree I am qualified to teach almost any science, but only able to teach AP in Biology.

Additional biographical information
