Directions for a research project on a tourist attraction in Paris. Students are asked to imagine they are visiting the site and to tell the class about it. Requirements include where it's located, historical information, price for admission, etc.

Fourteen sentences describe a room in French, where certain objects are positioned in relation to other objects. Students translate the sentences, then draw and label the room.
Meant for review of object and position (on, under, on top of, etc) vocab - compatible with the book Discovering French Bleu (Unit 4 lesson 9) but can be used for anything.
Outline of expectations for a project where students create and introduce their own "imaginary family." Guidelines can be adjusted by the teacher, the project has students writing three sentences for each family member. Example:

A series of questions and answers that are put in specific order to make a story. Cut out each phrase and give to students (as entire class or small groups) to reorder. I usually use a timer to make it a bit more competitive. Reviews question word vocabulary and forming questions in French using "est-ce que."

This activity is great as a class team builder. It's very simple - there are 30 cards, each with a time in French. Students need to order themselves from the earliest time to the latest by only speaking in the target language. I usually time the students to make things a little more competitive, so the second time around they can try and beat their time. This is a research project I had some of my French students do on the province of Quebec. They are lucky enough to have access to iPads so they made slide shows, but the project can be modified in a variety of ways. Great for a language or geography class learning about Quebec!
