Welcome to my store! With over 17 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, I am dedicated to supporting students on the autism spectrum, English language learners, and those with mild to severe disabilities. Teaching style
Student Centered, Therapeutic, Participatory, and Collaborative.
I used the TEACCH approach and methodology to teach my students on the spectrum (self-contained classroom). This approach focuses on the "culture of autism" and is based on cognitive-social learning theory. A core value in this approach is appreciating and valuing the unique strengths in every child.
My own education history
Master of Arts Degree from Teachers College/Columbia University in Social and Organizational Psychology from the State of New York.
Master of Science Degree in Education with a dual certification in Elementary Education from Hunter College from the state of New York.
